Abigail Beames Art

Abigail  creates art that challenges the viewer to see familiar objects or themes in unexpected ways. She utilizes a variety of materials, mediums, and techniques. Her primary medium is oil paint, but she also works with watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, and various sculptural materials. Recently she has been exploring archetypes and patterns of personalities seen through a variety of lenses. Building on a foundation of classical art technique, Abigail  finds she really enjoys the challenge and creativity of problem-solving when pushing the boundaries of the traditional. It is important to Abigail that her art does not feel pretentious. She wants her art to be accessible, understandable, and inclusive for many audiences and wants to provide a fresh perspective to the familiar. It is through the diverse use of materials, a range of subjects, a collective of inspiration, and relevant themes that Abigail can produce the art she wants to share with the world.
